Job Description:
In support of the ASSF-TP Program Manager the National Mission Brigade DPM will manage the reporting, delivery of training, and quality assurance for training teams conducting Train, Advise, Assist and Mentor (TAAM) with the NMB and subordinate Afghan Special Mission Units. Units include the NMB headquarters, subordinate task forces, and a specialized training program. DPM will be also be responsible for program oversite of the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command (ANASOC) mobility school. DPM will be responsible for Administration, Personnel Hiring, Conflict Management, and formal/informal investigations that may occur on the teams during the execution of the program.
The DPM will provide support, leadership and oversight for approximately 60 Raytheon Employees in Afghanistan. DPM will report to the Raytheon PM for the Afghan Special Security Forces � Training Program (ASSF-TP).
The DPM shall participate in ensuring all elements of program coordination and management elements are met, including but not limited to:
Monitor training and actively assist or provide direction as needed based on close coordination with the Requirement Owner and the Program Manager.
Maintaining and delivering all required reports to the Afghan Special Security Forces � Training Program (ASSF-TP) Program Manager.
Provide required data/information for monthly performance review and training reports to the Afghan Special Security Forces � Training Program (ASSF-TP) Program Manager.
Required Hours:
Standard will be 6 days/week, 12 hours/day while OCONUS and 40 hours/week while CONUS.
Responsibilities:
In support of and reporting to the ASSF-TP Manager: The DPM will manage the day-to-day operations of subordinate training teams assigned with the National Mission Brigade and training organizations. Submit reports to the PM as required.
Create reports of Personnel Hiring Actions, Review, and Interview and screen all potential program employees.
Interact with and maintain visibility of all Sub Contractors, foster and ensure a good relationship with the SubK's.
Create, manage, and maintain visibility of all program contracts and sub contracts, work the Mission Analysis Contract slides, Gate One, Base of Equipment, Labor, and Materials required on new or modified program contracts.
Investigate formal and informal complaints, accidents and incidents.
Supervise Team Leaders with implementing and administering the Train the Trainer program, and monitoring National Mission Brigade and designated training programs progress.
Regularly interacts with US military personnel.
Based on circumstances that are unique to work locations, assist trainers with making on the scene decisions as to training focus and integration with US military plans for development.
Required Qualifications:
The DPM must have a strong/successful background in Advising Special Operations Forces conducting Train, Advise, Assist and Mentor missions with foreign forces. Previous experience managing personnel in Iraq or Afghanistan required. Previous experience with Afghan National Army Special Operations Forces preferred. The DPM must have 4 to 6 years of Military Leadership/Program Management experience.
Required Skills:
Candidate must have at least 20 years military experience with the US Army or Marine Corps with 18 months experience as a staff officer/NCO at the Brigade level or higher (or equivalent program management time).
Must have a minimum experience of 12 months working in Afghanistan, in military advising capacity.
Shall have deployed operational experience with police organizations in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) working in a supervisory role.
Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance
Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility
Must be able to obtain an Afghanistan Visa
Strong/Proven Team Building Skills with a Collaboration Management Style with the ability to integrate guidance and direction from requirement owner.
Must have exceptional Interpersonal, People, and Customer Service Skills.
Prior experience with Defense Contracting, ITAR's, and Import/Export Regulations.
Must be willing to work in hostile areas for extended periods of time.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
This is an ARMED position. Must obtain and maintain eligibility to possess & operate a firearm in Afghanistan (AFG). As a business necessity, must successfully complete/maintain arming requirements including but not limited to: Psychological evaluation (initial evaluation & annual reevaluations); Completion of Civilian Arming Authorization Mgmt System (CAAMS) requirements/documentation & Arming Authorization Letter from US Forces AFG; Afghan weapons permit from the Afghan Ministry of the Interior
Wear required personal protective gear: body armor, helmet, etc. Independently lift/carry duffle bags with a max weight of 70 lbs/piece & move across uneven terrain
Work & live in AFG with potential assignment to any location in AFG based upon needs of the U.S. Gov�t
Meet medical requirements for position as determined by a pre-employment medical screening & published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards

Desired Qualifications:
Prefer background/familiarity with Afghan Army training/support processes, and the U.S. Army's Training Management System.
Afghan Special Security Forces experience/familiarity is desirable.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree from accredited school & eight (8) years of related experience, OR six (6) years related experience with Master's degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (16 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
