    Job Description: 

    The US has a requirement to organize, man, equip, and train Special Infantry units for the Afghan National Defense Security Forces (ANDSF). This Special Infantry organization, Ktah Khas (KKA), is an elite, highly mobile, light Infantry unit that specializes in assaults on conventional targets throughout Afghanistan.

    The SLT interfaces on a daily basis with the on-site US Commander and participates in meetings and conferences as directed by the appointed National Mission Brigade (NMB) Deputy Program Manager (DPM) and/or Technical Oversight Representative (TOR)/ Quality Assurance Representative (QAR). The SLT works independently and reports to the NMB DPM located on Camp Scorpion, Afghanistan.

    Required Hours:6 days/week for 10 hours/day while OCONUS and 40 hours/week while CONUS.

    Responsibilities:

    -Advise the KKA S4 on logistics matters that affect the accomplishment of their unit�s missions and execute ANA Fielded Forces logistic policies; monitor critical classes of supply support, local procurement and allocates facilities and Logistics resources available to the KKA; monitor transportation movement
    requirements within the KKA formation and assesses logistics capabilities and limitations of their units; conduct battlefield resupply; maintain Class VII Property Book management and oversight for the KDKs and coordinate maintenance and recovery operations; assist the KKA surgeon in developing the Medical Logistics requirements; coordinate with the KKA Cultural and Religious Chief for the retrograde and return of remains; be responsible for oversight, management and execution of material accountability at the lower levels IAW Decree 4.0
    -Develop logistical plans, logistics estimates, develop/manage alternate Sources of Supply (SOS), coordinate Log Estimate with FSC, monitor and report maintenance and recovery operations, develop and maintain daily LOGSTAT, write Paragraph 4, Supply and Service for Operations Order, coordinate Class VIII supply and medical requirements with surgeon and G1, coordinate for retrograde and return of remains, develop and maintain a budget, maintain and update daily supply status, manage property book accounts, maintain and reconcile document registers monthly, manage and report captured Class VII, perform local procurement, provide logistics support for combat operations, establish logistics cell, request and monitor mission essential supplies and services, conduct resupply (ground, air), conduct battlefield resupply when necessary
    -Conduct the operational planning, coordination, and execution of support to forward deployed elements; assist in the acquisition, processing and distribution of forward deployed unit supply requests, utilizing GSK transportation assets and external support such as ANA Air and commercially contracted transportation companies; provide technical supervision for the sustainment mission; understands the MoD and network and logistics hierarchy and what they provide; interface between the supported KKA and other ANA units; establishing the priorities of support for all operations based on the commander�s guidance and ensure that all KKA missions are sourced accordingly.
    -Accomplish updates on all applicable Decree's regulations, manuals, and other directives related to logistics functions
    -Complete and track all applicable MoD Forms listed in each logistics Decree
    -Distinguish between the material groups and classes of supply IAW Decree 4.0, 3.1
    -Participate in the development of programs of instruction, training support plans and lesson plans to develop the Afghan Forces at Camp Scorpion.
    -Provide deliverables in an accurate and timely manner.

    Required Qualifications:

    4 years experience in US Military supply operations, served as an O3 or higher.
    Logistical operations at the Company level or higher
    Served as a FSC Commander
    Recent deployment experience in Iraq or Afghanistan
    Familiar w/ Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)
    Excellent verbal and written communication
    Willing to travel and routinely meet with senior RS and ANDSF leaders
    Must possess current DoD Secret Security Clearance
    Competent with operating personal computer skills & MS office
    Excellent leadership, organizational and project mgmt skills
    Knowledgeable in all aspects of training development, management, and operations
    Experience with POI refinement and development
    Must be able to professionally interact and work with team members and senior US military/coalition military advisors and Afghan ANDSF leaders and students
    Detail-oriented with the ability to work under challenging deadlines


    Desired Qualifications:

    Familiar with relationships between NSOCC-A, CSTC-A, and the ANSDF
    Previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers


    Physical & Mental Requirements:

    This is an ARMED position. Must obtain and maintain eligibility to possess & operate a firearm in Afghanistan (AFG). As a business necessity, must successfully complete/maintain arming requirements including but not limited to: Psychological evaluation (initial evaluation & annual reevaluations); Completion of Civilian Arming Authorization Mgmt System (CAAMS) requirements/documentation & Arming Authorization Letter from US Forces AFG; Afghan weapons permit from the Afghan Ministry of the Interior
    Wear required personal protective gear: body armor, helmet, etc. Independently lift/carry duffle bags with a max weight of 70 lbs/piece & move across uneven terrain
    Work & live in AFG with potential assignment to any location in AFG based upon needs of the U.S. Gov�t
    Meet medical requirements for position as determined by a pre-employment medical screening & published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards
    Walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear

    Required Education (including Major):

    Bachelor's degree from accredited school & four (4) years of related experience, OR two (2) years related experience with Master's degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (12 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
